Family stayed here in early May and overall it was a positive experience, with some problems. Good: Nice admin company with quick and polite service. Really centrally located, both for the tourist staples and public transport in general. The immediate area around the apartment is excellent too. The apartment itself was nice, clean and (relatively) spacious and looked exactly like it did in the video on the website. There's lots of outdoor space and the pool was clean. Bad: The apartment isn't suitable for kids (I don't know if it says it is or not)...I wouldn't trust any kid under the age of about 8 there - there are sharp edges, unguarded fall risks, and furniture that's not attached to the floor. It's also popular with groups of young people, which means it can get noisy and the pool area would get crowded quick. The other guests when we were there were really nice and cleaned up and quietened down as soon as they saw us, but with another group you don't know. This is probably a pro for a young person :D The hotel has an anti-party policy which they seem to enforce well, though. In all, I'd recommend it without kids and as long as you're not looking for peace and quiet (in fairness, Barcelona's not really the right place if you are!).
Horrible Experience: Bedbug Infestation and Refusal to Refund Review: I rented an apartment managed My Space Barcelona through Booking.com for the period of November 5 to November 28, 2024, and had a terrible experience. On November 13, I discovered the apartment was infested with bedbugs after suffering severe bites. Initially, I thought it was an allergy, but once I realized the issue, I immediately informed the company and Booking.com. The company provided a license dated October 16, 2024, claiming the property had been inspected and cleared of issues, with the license valid for six months. However, bedbugs were found on November 13, just weeks after the inspection, as proven by my evidence. Worse, I found a review from another client a week prior, also mentioning bedbugs. This clearly shows the company was aware of the issue but failed to take action. Despite reporting the problem, my emails were ignored for days. When I visited their office, they refused to refund me and told me to resolve the issue with Booking.com. After escalating the matter through Booking.com, the company refused to authorize any refund. They only agreed to return my €400 deposit, which they were already obligated to return at the end of my stay. However, they continue to withhold €1,800 for the days I couldn’t live in the apartment (November 13–28) due to the appalling and unsafe conditions. Additionally, other reviews confirm systemic issues with this property, including repeated mentions of bedbugs and fraudulent practices such as withholding refunds and deposits. This company is clearly untrustworthy, negligent, and indifferent to tenant safety. I strongly advise against renting from this company or staying in their properties. They failed to take responsibility, ignored tenant health concerns, and demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism. I will continue to report this case to consumer protection and sanitary authorities to prevent others from experiencing the same. Rating: 1/5
EDIT on May 10 2024: I saw your response claiming we never stayed with you. Awesome! Be sure to tell AMEX that when they call you to investigate the $400 "security deposit" you charged us and never returned. I'm sure AMEX would LOVE to know why you're charging people who never stayed with you! It''s also pretty incredible that you claim we never stayed with you when I have screenshots of a conversation with you on WhatsApp. ----- ORIGINAL REVIEW: BluePillow should remove this slum “hotel” from its listings. ✅ bed bug infested. ✅ no hot water. ✅ disgusting bathroom. ✅ no response from owners. If you want to hate your life and spend hundreds of euros cleaning your personal belongings after being attacked by dozens of insects, you’ve found the perfect place. All that’s left is for the owner to steal my $400 security deposit, and we’ll have the perfect vacation from hell. -10 out of 10. I would rather vote for Donald Trump than stay here again.
