Mudra Tulum

Mudra was a decent apartment/hotel. The staff was really nice and were friendly. I wish the property it self had a little better up keep. The pool was a tad bit dirty with leaves and debris. The walk way to my room was interesting all the foliage. The location was also decent close enough to town, if you rent a bike from the property you will be fine.

Our stay was ruined by the fact that we were robbed in the apartment. Below the details of what happened: When we entered the apartment we saw that one of the toilet seats was broken so we asked the administration if it was possible to fix it. On Friday night the administration told us she would send someone to fix the issue the following morning at 10. The toilet in question was next to the room where my friend was staying. She put in her bag on a chair in the room a little bag with her jewelry in it on Saturday morning. Two workers that the administration sent came in around 10:30 and left 20/30 minutes later. After an additional 20 minutes my friend realized that the jewelry bag was nowhere to be found. I contacted immediately administration and explained what happened, the response was that they trusted their employees and that it was "impossible" that they took the jewelry even because we were in the house and we would have noticed. Nevertheless after checking every inch of the apartment, and every single one of our bags, the jewelry still wasn't found. Once we were sure that the jewelry was taken from the apartment we followed up until the administration came to the property and talked to the employees who denied taking anything. We then asked to speak to the police. The administrator, Jessica, told us it was in our right to speak to the police but didn't offer any help, she also refused to give us the full names of the employees who they had sent to the apartment. We of course went ourselves to the police station and reported the incident.

WARNING! Our belongings were stolen at the hotel. hotel service terrible, they were not interested in finding our stuff. The rooms are nice but very poorly equipped, no basic utensils. Nobody is interested in the needs of clients, in particular the manager. There are many other better accommodation options in the area. I do not recommend!
