Mukkulan Kartano

We had a First of May brunch there, and really enjoyed the stylish place and the tasty food. My only critical comment is that the music played there didn't suit the place at all - it was some kind of pop music, sounded as if there was a radio hidden in the fireplace, the music came out from a very small area (instead of the normal way when you feel it comes from "everywhere") and the style just didn't make justice to the place itself. Maybe you could play jazz or classical, or just open a window and let the bird-song come indoors? Other than that, we were super happy and will surely be back!

The Mukkulan Kartano area is one of the more iconic locations to visit outside the Lahti center, and namely provides tennis courts, campfire sites, two beaches, a volleyball court, a sauna and playground all situated around the historical Mukkulan Kartano manor. A great place to go sunbathing on a summer day or just adventuring around on any day, the manor itself also acts as a hotel, conference place and it's possible to be reserved for festivities.

Perfect spot for a stress-free weekend at the beach without the crazed tourist crowds. Amazing views, delightful set ups, just too slow service. But again... It's meant to be a stress-free staying, so... Four stars
