I had the pleasure of being booked in to this motor inn for work. I was pleasantly surprised to find some of the most outstanding service that I’ve come across for a long time. I was over 7 hours away from where I live and the owners and staff went out of their way to assist me and out of their way to make me feel welcome. Some just chalk this up to a country thing and that manners are expected. However, I say that’s not always the case and if you’re looking for exceptional customer service, an exceptional location, and exceptional comfort, you can’t go better than the Mulga Country Motor Inn!

If you're driving long distances across the Australian outback and need a comfortable, welcoming place to rest, this family-owned and operated motor inn is a perfect choice. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with genuine hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The rooms are spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up for a relaxing stay. One of the standout features is the brand-new air conditioning—an absolute blessing after a long, hot day on the road. No matter how high the temperature climbs outside, you’ll enjoy a cool, restful night's sleep, which is essential when covering big distances. Convenient parking, a peaceful atmosphere, and great service make this motor inn a top pick for travellers. Whether you’re passing through or stopping for a break, you won’t regret staying here. Highly recommended!

Nice large, relatively modern motel, very close to the Cosmos Centre on the edge of town. The host was very friendly and informative regarding places to eat and tourist sights. The price was reasonable at $561 for 3 nights in a very large Queen room. We were there in early July so it was cold overnight, but the heater served us well. The bed was comfortable and there was a lot of room to spread out bags. The layout was a bit odd, with the wash basin outside of the bathroom and the noise of the toilet being flushed next door was a bit loud. There is a fridge, a large TV and plenty of power points. Just needs a reading light next to the bed. But, the decor was simple, but nice and well maintained and very clean. Very quiet at night. Parking outside the room was good. It is not walking distance to town, but only a few minutes by car. Possible to walk to Cosmos Centre and Secret Army Base. Recommended.
