Munstone House Hotel

Hotel is set back from a small lane, very peaceful, classically furnished, our room was beautiful with a lovely view. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice of breakfast foods and fruits and drinks and we will definitely stay again. Also a lovely pub offering great food and drinks just a short walk away.

Very odd but pleasant. My room was something out of a 70s swingers retreat lol floor to ceiling mirrors across the entire back wall featuring a huge round bed. The bathroom was massive with two grate big mirrors to, the jacuzzi bath was enjoyable. I did feel paranoid staying in this room alone as I checked the mirror for hidden cameras 😅 The hotel grounds were lovely and peaceful although needed a clean up as it was very over grown. This place has potential to be better. If you're looking for somewhere quirky (wink wink) this place is it lol I didn't stay for breakfast so I can't comment on that. Check out was non existent, I rang the bell but no one came so I just left the key. I did however enjoy the peacefulness of the place.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY Well we had this through as a gift through the red letter experience I don’t really know where to start with this review… On arrival the house and grounds were unkept walking into the reception it was like stepping back in time, we rang the bell someone arrived after 5 mins the we were left a further 20 mins while they went I presume to check the room open the window and tried to make it look appealing well it did no such thing it smelt of damp flies all Buzzing around the room it was dirty and dusty, the shower was mouldy, toilet seat didn’t fit, no hand towels only bath towels, the bed was awful, there was toothpaste allover the tap and in the sink from previous guests, hence to say We did not stay. We rang the bell to say we were not happy with our room waited 30 minutes and no one came so we just left. We emailed red letter and they basically were not interested. I’m sure in its day it would of been a beautiful place to stay but unfortunately the owners have let it go to rack and ruin so sad.
