Muong Thanh Luxury Ca Mau Hotel

Mường Thanh Hotel was a decent stay during my trip. The facilities are well-kept, the room was clean and comfortable, and the check-in process was quick. It has everything you’d expect from a large hotel chain—spacious lobby, friendly staff, and a good range of basic amenities. Breakfast had enough variety, and the overall experience was smooth. Not overly fancy, but definitely a solid and reliable option if you're visiting the area for work or travel.

On the positive side, it's a good value for the price, but it seems like the do the minimum necessary for their five star rating in this somewhat dated hotel. Breakfast is a good example. Decent selection but not presented well or appetizing looking - a bland experience. I think breakfast at a five star should be exceptional featuring local specialties well presented. Another examples is housekeeping. They cleaned my room and bathroom except for toilet which I guess was left dirty by me. One extremely small tube of bath gel in bathroom was given. My friends in another room received just one as well to share between two people. Cheap showerhead assembly wouldn't hold the showerhead when turned on. The room also had some bump and bruises with small damage here and there. I guess I expect a lot from five star hotel. The staff was polite and professional but seemed not unfriendly but distant and unhappy. My three night certainly wasn't a luxury experience. If I ever came back to Ca Mau, I would spin the wheel and even try a lower rated hotel not because this hotel is bad, but because I know there are a lot of better 5 star hotel experiences out there with staff that smiles. Oh I'm sorry, I think her name was Ms Tran who brought a towel at the pool with a big smile even though it interrupted work she was doing. She's lovely.

The experience was decent but it’s missing some key things in the morning buffet(e.g. kimchi, etc); there are more problems with the food as well, the Bacon was tough-very tough and the sausage still has the smelly scent from the pigs, the pate still has the speck of pig’s liver. The yogurt was sticky 😢🙏 Also the music is not fitting at all, why consider blasting Vietnamese music when we already heard it all our childhood, plus just play local music related to Ca Mau. The maintenance in the elevators ended on June, 2025 and it’s August 8 when I’m posting this.
