Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho Hotel

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars because the bellhop, Mr. Dang is fantastic. He started off the experience on the right foot when he expertly took our bags up cheerfully and made us, especially our 21 month old, feel right at home. It was great to see him interact with our baby. Our baby was able to ride the balance bike around the hotel and property. The property is a bit dated but clean and everything was working properly. Housekeeping did a fantastic job as well. You need to go through the lobby to get to the pool though and the gym is dated but fully functional and otherwise maintained. Pool is well maintained. Very kid friendly.

Should be a 3 star hotel instead of 5 or named it as "luxury." Overall, the service is ok, room is ok, food is ok but it does not meet the 5 star standard. This is the 3rd time I stayed in Muong Thanh Hotel, in a different branch, so I can say it is quite old style, have the humid smell because of the carpets in the room I guess. The lobby, breakfast room, and elevators are quite hot, not enough aircon? So crowded with groups of companies, so it is quite messy at the breakfast room.

Do NOT stay here. The check-in process is a hassle and confusing. We booked via Agoda and gave our confirmation booking. The service desk said we needed to call some MyTools to get the pin for the booking. It didn’t make any sense.
