Mykonos Dove Beachfront Hotel

We stayed 3 nights at Dove Beachfront Hotel, booking the “Relax Suite with Private Pool”. Room was extremely outdated and filled with a strong moldy smell, especially in the bathroom. It was hard to breathe properly inside. The “private pool” was dirty and not private at all—it’s just weakly separated from other rooms with some plants. I doubt it even has a functioning cleaning system. On top of that, we killed two huge cockroaches in the room. The windows don’t have insect screens, so you can’t even ventilate the room without inviting bugs in. Breakfast is average at best. It’s supposed to start at 8 AM, but most things aren’t actually ready until after 9:30. We also booked their free port transfer, but it arrived 45 minutes late—we had to wait under the sun with all our luggage and no communication. The hotel advertises itself as beachfront, but in reality, you’re treated as second-class guests. You’re pushed to the last row on the beach and not allowed to choose your spot. They also try to crowd more guests right next to you. The beach manager was extremely rude and acted like we were staying there for free—not paying over €500 per night.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations overall. The beach was very crowded; they add extra sunbeds between the existing ones to accommodate more people from outside the hotel, leaving very little space to move around. The food was not very good, and we were not satisfied with the comfort of the room either. There was dampness and the room was quite old. Also, there were bugs in the room, which should definitely be taken into consideration.

This hotel isn’t a 5 star hotel at all !! Rooms aren’t that clean you can see mold and unpolished walls! Coffee machine in our room was dusty and doesn’t work. No lights are on in the hotel. Breakfast was very average not a 5 star hotel breakfast you can’t find a variety of food. What bothered me is the water leaking from the roof of the restaurant! This is hideous to catch the water dripping with some ice bucket and towels everywhere on the floor. Spoon forks and bowls aren’t that clean.Cleanliness 0/10. Although it has a beach access you can only get the last 3 rows (if there is space) although we are paying more than 500€ per night. The reception staff were ok and friendly. But everything else seems like a 3 star hotel.
