We had an absolutely magical 5-day stay at the Märchenhotel Braunwald! From the moment we arrived, everything felt like stepping into a fairytale. Our 2-year-old son was completely charmed. He loved the friendly animals and spent hours exploring both the indoor and outdoor play areas. Every space is thoughtfully designed with little ones in mind, making it a true paradise for families. The service throughout our stay was impeccable. The staff were warm, attentive, and always one step ahead of our needs. Every staff member we encountered made us feel welcome and cared for. The setting, nestled in the mountains, only added to the enchantment. We left with full hearts and already dreaming of our next visit. A perfect family getaway!

This was a great kids hotel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Our kids (6 and 8) had a blast and said it was the best hotel ever. It’s def geared for kids. I wouldn’t go much older than 8, I think ideal ages here is 3-8. There’s animals, 3 outdoor playgrounds, soccer and tennis, indoor play areas (big hit) and a small but heated indoor/outdoor pool with a fun indoor slide. Recommend for 3 nights.

The hotel is perfectly located in car-free Braunwald, offering breathtaking panoramic views, peaceful surroundings, and fresh alpine air. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, welcoming, and tailored for both families with children and couples looking for a relaxing escape. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, and had a balcony overlooking the mountains — a dream to wake up to. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is incredible, with themed rooms, cozy lounge areas, and whimsical decorations that kids absolutely love. The highlight for families is the incredible children’s program. From storytelling to magic shows and hands-on creative workshops, our child was engaged and entertained the entire time. Meanwhile, we got to unwind in the spa area, which is elegant and peaceful — complete with sauna, steam bath, and relaxation zones. The food deserves special mention. The on-site restaurant serves gourmet cuisine using fresh, local ingredients, and the children’s buffet is just as thoughtfully prepared. Every meal felt like a special occasion. What truly sets Märchenhotel apart is how it combines high-end hospitality with a sense of magic and playfulness. It’s perfect for a luxury family holiday in Switzerland, and also ideal for a quiet alpine getaway with stunning nature all around. We’ll absolutely be back — this was more than a stay, it was an experience our whole family will remember forever.
