We really like this hotel! We've stayed here many times under the previous ownership, and it's still fantastic. Our room felt brand new with a super cool style. The breakfast at the Palace restaurant is amazing, so many high-quality choices, and the place looks great. On-site parking is a big plus, making things very convenient. The location is also quite good, being well-connected to public transport and within walking distance to many cool areas, despite a few sketchy people nearby. Our only small issues were minor and certainly not deal-breakers. We discovered a new policy where rooms are only cleaned if you hang a specific "clean me" sign on the door. We weren't aware of this, so our room wasn't serviced on one occasion, but it wasn't a big problem. Also, while it's great to have a small gym, the equipment is a bit old and could use an update. Overall, these were very minor points that didn't diminish our excellent stay. Highly recommend!

A modern and nicely decorated hotel in a very convenient location for public transport. Our room was well equipped for all our needs and the restaurant / breakfast room looks absolutely fabulous. The breakfast foods had good selections, we stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed every breakfast meal.

Our stay at Movenpick Budapest was extremely disappointing and stressful, despite some positives. The beds were comfortable and the room was beautiful, but unfortunately that was the only redeeming aspect. After leaving the room in the morning, it was not serviced at all. Reception claimed it was our responsibility to place a “cleaning request card” on the door—but no such card exists in the rooms. When I questioned this, the staff explained it was part of a “new policy,” which was never mentioned during check-in. As a result, we ended up cleaning the room ourselves late at night with young tired children, making the beds and dealing with dirty towels. The same morning, my mother was denied breakfast because her room number had been left off the list. She was only admitted when she came with us, and the staff then checked and confirmed the mistake. This was humiliating and completely avoidable. In addition, for a simple confirmation of a reservation change sent by email, I had to go to the reception two nights in a row, which caused unnecessary stress. I expect a certain level of service when booking a high-standard hotel, but here I had to ask for basic services that even lower-rated hotels provide automatically. This stay was frustrating, exhausting, and ruined our plans. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone seeking reliable service and a smooth experience.
