Mövenpick Hotel Egerkingen

Okay so the hotel from the outside was beautiful however, our room only had one outlet, which would be fine however I was traveling in a group and had to share with three other people. The room stated that it accommodated that many as it has two queen beds but the rest of the room has absolutely no space for anyone. Otherwise the service was fine, several peoples food was undercooked in our group and took awhile to get out. Overall, it was fine. Definitely not good for group travel although I could understand how someone could enjoy this as an individual or as a duo.

We unfortunately needed to postpone our vacation due to car problems and requested to cancel or change the date for our stay. Now, there are multiple ways to say no to a request. Their ‘no’ was legally correct and I’m not disputing their decision, but we’ve encountered zero thoughtfulness or service mindset. Just a short message ‘you booked a non refundable room’ (which was the only option we got from booking.com). Hospitality is about experience and this experience showed that guests are a number.

I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at your hotel, Regrettably, my experience was significantly below the expected standards for several reasons: * Unacceptable Room Cleanliness: Upon checking into Room I was dismayed to find clear evidence of inadequate cleaning, including the presence of spiders and signs that the bed had not been properly cleaned. This created an unhygienic and uncomfortable environment, which is a basic requirement for any hotel accommodation. * Subpar Service: * Poor Breakfast Quality: The breakfast provided during my stay was consistently disappointing. These issues collectively marred what should have been a pleasant stay. I chose your hotel expecting a certain level of quality and comfort, neither of which were met.
