Mövenpick Hotel Zuerich Airport

The rooms are clean but dated. The washroom has mold and the hairdryer was half melted. Our room was very hot. We were told they do not have a/c, however, our friend told us his room got so cold that he had to turn off the "air flow" system. Also, the common areas were all air conditioned, so why aren't all the rooms? The room had a strange smell, almost like a stinky cheese. Additionally, on the second day, the hallway stunk of cigarette smoke! The carpets in the hallway were in desperate need of a good vacuum! We stayed there 2 days and never heard/saw a vacuum cleaner. We found shards of broken glass in the hallway and told the cleaner one day and the front desk the next day. Both times they said they would send someone but they didn't. This is a safety hazard. The staff were all very friendly. Staff in the bar and restaurants were efficient and lovely.

The room was spacious. But the room is dusty and left over trash from previous guest still there. Book for 4 persons but the compliment water only 1, we booked for 2 night. But the water in the following day still 1 bottle only. I see google review about cleanliness, up to my experience there are still not at the clean level yet

We stayed at this hotel from June 13 to June 17, 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. The room was very dusty, as if it hadn’t been cleaned or used in a long time. One of the bathroom lights wasn’t working, and even after reporting it, the issue was never fixed. A piece of the ceiling had fallen onto the floor, which was only repaired the next day. The bath towels were extremely old—one even had a holes in it. The air conditioning also did not work properly. It took several hours to cool the room, and it felt like it was only running on the fan setting rather than actual cooling. Additionally, the location was inconvenient and felt unsafe. The tram station was quite far from the hotel and required walking through a dark, abandoned parking lot and an active construction site—especially concerning at night. On top of all that, the hotel staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, making the overall experience even more frustrating. This stay did not meet basic standards for comfort, cleanliness, or customer service. I would not recommend this hotel.
