Had a great stay but particularly enjoyed the Kids Club. July and Gamou took great care of my kids most of the day, keeping them busy with many activities at the pool and at the beach. They had a blast! Highly recommend it if you have kids.
My stay was very bittersweet. The facilities look amazing but my room was a hell hole. We got the boat houses for a week-end thinking we were going to be on the sea and swim all we want. Little did we know, the water the house boats are on is not swimable, which defeats the all purpose (also the sea was far from our room). Had we known that, we would have stayed in a normal room because they are (way) bigger and cosier than the boat houses (that only fit the bed). The tininess of the boat houses (room and bathroom) and the smelliness of the sanitation system made the stay difficult. On top of all, I got injured from the room door, it closed on my heel and made a deep cut !! Thank God the nurse treated me right away but now I have weeks to go before full recovery. The staff was friendly although not always efficient. In any case, if you want to stay here, I highly recommend staying in the main rooms and avoid the boat houses. As for me, if I (ever) make it back to this hotel, I will review the rooms and hopefully change my mind…
We were very disappointed with our stay at Mövenpick Hotel Saly The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the staff were kind and professional. But sadly, the overall experience didn’t match the price or the brand’s standards We were given a room that costs nearly $400 per night, but it was located right in the middle of a construction zone. Starting at 7:00 AM, there was constant noise from renovation work in all the surrounding rooms, it truly felt like we were staying on a construction site After complaining, we were moved to a second room, which unfortunately also had ongoing maintenance (air conditioning repairs). It wasn’t until the third room that we finally found some peace and quiet For a short two nights stay, we ended up spending more than half a day just dealing with room changes and complaints. This is not the level of service or experience one expects from “the best hotel in town” In addition, the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all , again, very disappointing for a hotel of this category
