Nagila Boutique Hotel

This was the very first hotel I visited in Vietnam. despite some shortcomings, I remember this place with warmth. The first thing I want to say is the location. The majority of European tourists settle further south. but for me, we made the right decision by choosing this area. The hotel is located in the beautiful Son Tra area. The beach is within walking distance, but in this heat I would still rather get there by transport. I think the quality of the rooms matches the price. but it can be noisy sometimes as the street is quite busy. The staff is friendly. When I arrived, I myself had some minor problems with English, but we resolved all the issues successfully.

This hotel is managed by friendly staff, from front desk to restaurant. It is well located, quite near to city centre, but nothing much nearby. There is a bustling little local eatery just next door. The rooms are dusty and walls are dirty. Hope the management can do something about this. It's a nauseating first impression. The towels are quite worn out. Appreciate that they change the towels every day though. One of the days, the bedsheet looked like it got a shoe mark on it. Erm....

We booked this hotel from Agoda almost 20 days before my check-in. But on the day of check-in, hotel receptionist told us that they are having electricity issue on the floor where our room is. And offered me other hotel in front of it. I denied as it was looking a fake story to me and immediately staff including hotel manager started to behave like they have nothing to do with it. I wasted 2 hours there to cancel my booking by the hotel and to get refund. This hotel is a bull-shit. They can give your room to someone else on the spot for a higher price.
