Naindo Park Hotel

Nice place to stay. Lots of tour buses come through this hotel. The breakfast is pleasant. The restaurant opens a bit late for dinner (20:30), but so does everywhere else. Great central location, lots of shops and food nearby. Adjacent to park, very nice. Feel very safe in this area - tons of foot traffic and police.

It's a very basic hotel; no free drinks in the lobby or much seating area to rest. Front staff speak little English. Rooms and bathrooms are quite old but serviceable. Located at city center and there is a lot of unexpected noises from nearby cafes blasting their stereo speakers; during holidays there's much activity and loud marching bands. WiFi signal is sometimes unreliable. The breakfast was a really sad affair with limited options. There's not much else to choose from around here, but at least you can get a nice view from the upper floors.

The hotel is the best one you will find downtown in La Rioja. Please, do not read that statement lightly: that's far from good, but the best you will find. I have stayed at Naindo hotel for work many times and it continues to deteriorate: a complete remodeling needed but mot even maintenance over the years. No competition translates as: -plan ahead: you will not find availability within a week. -Customer centricity is non existent. -Naindo does not seem to clean their carpets since founded 50 years ago: you shouldnt go barefoot in them. -Mildew smell in some of the rooms. -Broken bathroom appliances with rust or tartar, etc... -The exception is the restaurant. Very good basic meal and service. .
