Nanchang Cheng Lake Intercontinental Hotel

5 of us from Singapore have a very wonderful time staying two days in this hotel. The service executives at all sectors were very friendly. Especially front desks staff 祝一舟 and his colleagues. We like to say thanks to them .

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sheraton Nanchang, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction throughout my stay. The food at the hotel's restaurant was simply outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. What truly impressed me was the personal touch - the staff remembered my name and made me feel like a valued guest. The hotel's location in the middle of the city center was incredibly convenient, allowing me to easily explore and experience all that the area had to offer. As an international brand hotel, the level of hospitality and professionalism was top-notch. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a truly exceptional experience. It is, without a doubt, the only place to go in the area.

Pros: 1. Spacious room with classic decor: contrary to some reviews, we found it clean, well maintained, and comfortable thanks to excellent housekeeping. 2. Convenient location: about 30 mins by cab to both East and West high-speed rail stations, and there’s a subway entrance right in front of the hotel. 3. Executive lounge: offers stunning river views and a great selection of snacks, food, and drinks throughout the day. Cons: 1. Careless and not thoughtful: I had ordered a birthday cake for my partner with a personalized tag, but it arrived without one and no explanation. 😤😤😤 The front desk even asked about the cake delivery in front of him, spoiling the surprise! 😰😰😰 2. Lack of hospitality: Front desk staff seemed too focused on tasks and lacked warmth - something we rarely experience at other Marriott hotels or even lower-star hotels in China. 3. Minimal upgrade for Platinum member: only to higher executive floor! We chose Sheraton for our Bonvoy loyalty, but given this experience, Shangrila may offer better value, river views, and location (next to major attractions esp 秋水廣場 fountain light show).
