Narrows Escape Rainforest Retreat

Narrows Escape is a lovely quiet little hideaway in Montville. The service by Ali, Xochi and family was outstanding. In advance of my stay Ali and Xochi arranged two massage bookings and one yoga class to take place at Narrows Escape during my stay and payment was just included in my room account which was really convenient. Very generous large food hamper in room on arrival and another large cheese plate, yoghurts, juices and bacon in fridge. Croissants delivered each morning. Real wood fire in the villa, well stocked with plenty of kindling, fire starters and plenty of wood for your stay. Bed was really comfy and super cosy robe and slippers supplied. I had planned to hike in the mornings and chill out in afternoon but was so relaxed and chilled I kept falling asleep dozing in front of fire or reading books listening to the rain. Wifi was great, I didn’t do any streaming but no issues with normal internet or phone reception (Telstra) when needed. I really did leave feeling like I’d actually recharged and disconnected. Only one thing to note, my rainforest villa deck did overlook the walkway path between the other villas. Lying in the hammock or sitting on deck, other guests could look straight up at me walking past. I think it may have been unique to just the position of my Villa, not the same for all other villas. There are only a few villas so only a couple of people could walk past, just something to note and request when booking. I had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Absolutely amazing experience at Narrows Escape. We booked for the baby moon package and it was such a lovely and easy weekend away. Dinner and breakfast were completely included. The room was beautiful and spacious. Couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

Our stay at Narrows Escape was pure perfection! The service was beyond exceptional—we were treated to complimentary champagne, chocolates, roses, cheese, and freshly baked croissants every morning. They even offered personal drives into town and on excursions, making our stay effortless, luxurious and well worth it. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, and the hospitality was truly five-star. Montville is also a really cute little town with good restaurants and services, would come back!
