Stayed for 5 nights with bed and breakfast in a Superior Family room with Sea View. Great location right by the beach and a short walk from the town centre. The room was decent. There was a sliding screen to divide the two bedrooms when needed, and a huge balcony with a large summer bed on it. Only issue with the balcony was the lack of privacy, your neighbours from both sides can see you through glass walls, and you're overlooked by lots of hotel rooms above you. The room was cleaned daily to a good standard. The shower pressure is weak. Breakfast was a buffet which was pretty much the same stuff laid out every morning. Nothing of any great quality except for the fresh grind coffee machine pumping out decent espresso. Didn't use the spa, barely used the pool, which is a little small. Did sit around buying drinks one day, but the spirits used were the same cheap ones they give to all inclusive guests. Staff were great, from the check-in desk, to the dining staff, to the cleaners. Bishal was a great help in the lobby area, and very pleasant to speak to. All in all, this hotel met my needs for the most part.
I would've liked to give it 5 stars as the rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast is adequate and the pool is nice (yet crowded) I'm just not happy it's called a beach hotel but not exactly on the beach: you have to go go down to lobby the pool area then downstairs to get towels (very strict policy) then go back upstairs walk through the pool and lobby walk outside around the corner down the street a block then get to the beach chairs marked "nelia" on a semi private beach NOT adjacent to the hotel at all. Not cool...
Very unfriendly staff, apart from the cleaning staff, everyone at reception was very uninterested in helping. The woman at the spa was particularly rude. She made up her own rules for the spa area compared to the rules stated at reception. According to the woman at the spa, after check-in at 12pm, even though you were picked up from the transfer at midnight, you are no longer treated as a customer and is very bitchy, rude and disrespectful for no reason and says that the people up at reception have no clue. We were refused permission to use towels despite having a card and were also refused permission to use the public hairdryer intended for customers. I would definitely not recommend this hotel because of the staff alone, which I find a shame because otherwise everything was very clean and the rooms were great too.
