Stayed here for 12 nights. A ovely appartment..... although next time I will book earlier, so that we can reserve a larger one. Brilliant location (Our balcony overlooked the market place) with front row seats for many of the activities going on. Only a very short walk to super beaches, many restaurants and bars. Would recommend and hope to return :-)
Pros. has a pool and small fitness room with 4 machines Clean and new . lts close to beach and shopping . There is a great fresh food Market hall next door. Has underground parking at a cost but to have parking is very important here. Cons. Very stuffy rooms. With no fans or A/C. Windows dont have tilt. Street level rooms have little privacy. Wifi slow. Rooms dont have washing machines. Only a common wash area. 4€ a wash. There are people out and about late and the garbage trucks and market setup early every morning. Hey you are middle in Mimimzan plage not a retirement village. Dont come here looking for peace and quiet. No grill or common grill area. Room kitchenette has no oven. Just a cooktop . Rooms lack storage and space. Make your own bed with unfitted sheets. You also at times be confronted by an awful smell from the paper factory in Mimizan bourg a few kilometers away . When the wind is offshore. Would suit people who plan to eat out a lot and wash infrequently. Like being out late and arent bothered by a bit of noise and want to be close to beech and no need to use the car. The south side of mimizan plage is quieter.
Located next to the local market and a noisy street with frequent motorcycle traffic during the night. Delivery trucks (the big ones, 40t with lifted ramps) are unloaded between 4:00 & 6:00 in the morning right in front of the house (10m away from the windows). At around 6:00 am, a local plant starts to work, adding some nasty smell to the noise. No air conditioning, 30-35 degrees Celsius in the summer. So you can choose between sweat or noise & stink, but sleep will not be your option. WiFi is limited to one device, so bad luck when you have children. Sleeping rooms are extremely tiny, the bed fills up the room nearly completely. Despite being offered for 4 persons, the door to the balcony was not usable when we used the 2nd bed. Toilet vent did not work. No towels provided. Overall, no 4 star hotel experience. We will not return, definitely overpriced and a major disappointment. Only highlight was the beautiful staff who tried to support as good as possible.
