Nero North

This was the first place we stayed when visiting Gili. It has great access to the beach and is also perfect for going snorkeling. The pool is on the smaller side, but it was more than enough for the kids to enjoy. There aren’t many accommodations on Gili Island suitable for families, but this place was spacious enough for all of us and offered a wide variety of breakfast options, which we really liked. Although it’s located in the north of Gili, you can reach the west side in about 5 minutes by bicycle to enjoy the sunset, so the location is also excellent.

My second accommodation on Gili Island in Lombok is Nero North, located in the northern part of Gili Island. On the first day, I stayed at a hotel in the bustling area near the Gili Trawangan Ferry Terminal because I arrived in the evening, and for the second night, I chose a quiet and secluded accommodation on the northern coast. Upon arrival, we heard that the hotel owner is Korean, which explains why there were many Korean guests staying there. The suite family room is spacious, with a shared living room divided into two sides, making it ideal for individual families or groups of men and women. All the staff we met at the hotel were well-trained, very friendly, and provided us with everything we needed, just like family. Especially I would like my sincere to Ms.Hasti for warmest hospitality. The hotel's swimming pool, beach, and restaurant were very clean and tidy. The staff kindly introduced us to a boat rental service for a half-day snorkeling tour, where we enjoyed seeing sea turtles. Overall, I would rate this hotel as a great place to spend a few days. A few points of improvement include the Wi-Fi speed being slow and frequently disconnecting, and the second floor of the restaurant having untidy tree branches obstructing the view of the sea. Additionally, the stairs on the second floor of the restaurant were quite high and lacked handrails, which was concerning for elderly guests. Lastly, this is a matter of personal preference, but the restaurant's prices (especially in terms of value for money) and taste were significantly inferior compared to the nearby Wilson Restaurant.

What a vibe! 🐢🔥 We had an amazing time at Nero North — from the very start, the place had such a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. The Team was always smiling, chill, and made sure every moment felt special! Big shoutout to the GUYS at the restaurant, bar, entrance — loved the chats, the stories about the turtles, and just the good energy overall! They made me promise to say HI! to the turtles every time I saw them… and I always did! Respect! 🙌 It’s not just the stunning location (really quiet, beautiful) that makes this place great — it’s the people (and also beach and the sea). Thanks for making it feel like home.
