Netley Hall

We attended this beautiful place for a family wedding. After reading some reviews we were a little concerned, but we found the whole experience wonderful. The staff were extremely helpful, worked hard to make everything perfect, and did it with a smile. The venue is beautiful, in extensive well kept grounds. We used a 2 room cottage and it was spacious, very clean and comfortable. Lovely. The ceremony was in the large and very beautiful main hall. Wedding breakfast was delicious and well supported. Food delicious, and in a very large and really well stocked room with a large well staffed bar. The estate manager, Harrison, was superb and available at all times to talk to about any concerns or problems. Well done all staff and people involved.

Stayed here 3 nights in the cottages peach tree I only give the room 1 star. We couldn't fault the cottage itself but omg the Bed what can I say it was well outdated spring mattress, you moved and woke up with a spring in your back or legs even side. There was a dint in the Base. Not much sleep, popped in the next day and they dealt with it well said it was dealt with as we had arranged to go out so keeper went in and should of changed mattress, in all fairness the mattress was just the same. Couldn't be bothered to argue the point on it been changed so just let it. So the 3 nights then sleep was rubbish. Cleaniness was was spot on apart from cobwebs in the thing above the bed, personally I would consider having if removed it's a dust and cobweb collector. The Tea towel that was left was stinking of dirty grease smell, no Mop or bucket in the cottage for if weather was bad or if a dog had an accident. Would of thought about booking again but the mattress was a really put off. Also no Iron or iron board. Just a sweeping brush, but honestly the cottage itself was spot on
