New Hotel Roblin La Madeleine

Returned to the Roblin after several years and were greeted by the manager of the Property, Stéphane who welcomed us back to the hotel, from a guest experience perspective the hotel excels, the front desk team were friendly and accommodating. Rooms are traditionally French, room was spacious and well appointed, with views to Rue Chauveau Lagarde below. The retro style elevator is a great photo opportunity. Rooms have slippers and robes, our room had a separately appointed shower, which was spacious. Quite a few restaurants / places for snacks around the area also. Definitely a find in Paris!

Absolutely horrible experience, for most of my stay the staff was polite, but on my last day, I was yelled at over the phone saying I needed to leave immediately at 12:30 for not checking out even though me and my partner had previously gone downstairs during breakfast at 9am to ask for a later checkout. The woman at the front desk approved us for a 1pm checkout while at least two other staff members overheard. I went downstairs promptly just to have them drag my bags from the elevator as if I wasn’t moving fast enough while the staff member who was sitting next to the woman apologized for the behavior of his coworker but said they couldn’t verify the later checkout since she was on her break. Completely unacceptable. The room was also missing multiple items that were advertised in the listing and there wasn't even any body wash left in the dispenser for days.

Dishonest hotel I asked for a taxi to the airport I was charged double the package. I saw the receptionist take a commission from the taxi. I find it really twisted for a Parisian hotel. Don't hesitate to take taxis on the street to the airport to avoid being scammed
