My stay at the Marriott was nothing short of excellent. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the difference—the air conditioning was perfect, keeping everything cool and comfortable throughout the entire building. The service was top-tier, with both the front desk staff and Starbucks workers going above and beyond to make guests feel appreciated and cared for. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made the entire experience even better. The rooms were incredible—modern, spacious, and spotless. You can tell attention to detail is a priority here, and it really shows in both comfort and cleanliness.
We could not have picked a better wedding venue! Avery was fantastic to work with along with the rest of the staff! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the hotel. Everyone got ready at the hotel prior to the wedding in the very spacious and nice bridal suite for the women and a junior suite for the men. This made everything convenient to be able to have all of the events here as well as stay at the hotel along with our guests. Ann Elise gave us the initial tour and was very nice and welcoming! I loved the colors in the rooms and all of the beautiful areas for pictures in the hotel. The food for the wedding was great and we had a tasting beforehand to pick exactly what we wanted. I cannot say enough good things about working with Avery! She was extremely detail oriented and friendly. She was very responsive to emails throughout the planning phase and we had multiple calls. She checked in on me multiple times throughout the day while we were getting ready to make sure everything was going well. She gave my maid of honor her number to text her anything we needed. She went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect! The rest of the hotel staff also made it a priority to make sure we were happy the whole time. Brittany at the front desk was extremely friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend this wedding venue!
I am writing to formally express my deep disappointment with my experience at the Marriott Warehouse Arts District in New Orleans. From the moment of check-in, the service was unacceptable. The front desk attendant questioned where we worked and what positions we held simply because we booked under a government rate. These questions felt unnecessary and inappropriate, and it came across as racial profiling, which is completely unacceptable and degrading. Additionally, the customer service throughout the stay was poor. Staff were dismissive and unhelpful, which made the experience even more frustrating. On top of that, the food we received was cold and unappetizing, showing a clear lack of care and quality control. My table placed an order at 9:15 A.M and we waited nearly 1 hour and 50 minutes before receiving our food. When it finally arrived, the food was lukewarm to cold. The most upsetting part? The manager seemed more concerned about food being thrown away than ensuring guests were satisfied. This showed a complete lack of care for the guest experience. I chose Marriott expecting a certain standard of professionalism and hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below that. I sincerely hope this matter is taken seriously. No guest should have to feel uncomfortable or disrespected because of how they look, where they work, or what rate they booked under. As a professional in the food and retail management industry, I was shocked by the level of service at the Marriott Warehouse Arts District in New Orleans. Between the poor customer service, unprofessional management priorities, and discriminatory tone at check-in, this experience fell far below what any guest, especially from a hospitality background, should ever encounter. I will be reporting this experience on all review platforms and to Marriott corporate. I would appreciate a follow-up on this matter. Thank you for your attention.
