New York Marriott Marquis

What can I say. This hotel is set in the heart of very, very busy Times Square. I knew when booking it was going to be busy. It’s not an area I have stayed in previously. The Hotel itself is beautifully elegant. Staff are super friendly. Huge hotel. Swipe cards are used for everything. It was rather fun swiping our card then waiting to see which elevator we would’ve allocated, then a quick run to get into it before the doors closed. Our room had a wonderful city view, very spacious for NYC. I’ve dropped 2 stars simply because the lobby of the hotel always had people smoking out in it. You could not escape the smell it was everywhere. My husband mentioned this to the staff, there is little they can do about this though as NYC has legalised the smoking of cannabis Would I return…. I wouldn’t stay in Times Square again but I would certainly stay in a Marriott

The Marriott Marquis is a wonderful hotel in an unbeatable location—right in the heart of Times Square. It’s perfect for shopping and sightseeing in Manhattan, and within walking distance of both Penn Station and Grand Central. The hotel is surrounded by very good (though pricey) restaurants. My family and I loved our fully renovated and spacious room—especially when compared to the typical NYC hotel room size based on our past stays. It’s not a 5-star hotel (for that, you’d want to book at The Plaza), but it’s definitely a great 4-star option. The gym is beautiful and offers a great view, and we really enjoyed the colorful and efficient elevators!

The New York Marriott Marquis is simply outstanding! From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch — friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Times Square, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and had breathtaking views of the city lights. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and after a long day walking around New York, it felt like a dream to come back to. The hotel offers great dining options, and the rotating rooftop restaurant is an absolute must-try — the views alone are worth it! We also appreciated how secure and organized everything was, despite the hotel being so large and busy. The elevators with the smart system work smoothly, and the staff keeps everything running perfectly. Highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for comfort, convenience, and excellent service right in the middle of all the action in NYC! We will definitely stay here again.
