Next Door Park

There are two joined hotels here. One is a four star (where I stayed), the other one a five star. Even though I had booked a single room, it was a huge one with 2 beds and a balcony. It was clean and modern. The hotel also has a gym, a pool and multiple bars. The breakfast was one of the best, I ever had. (I guess because it's not only for the 4 star guests, but also for the ones, who booked the 5 star version.) The breakfast area, as well as the bars inside the hotel were very stylish and had a lot of charme. Be aware that it can be a bit loud, until those bars close, which should be around midnight I think. But I didn't mind that. On the contrary. I always enjoy the option of being able to hang out in my hotel (bar) in the evening, after a long day. If that's not for you, also make sure that there is nothing happening in the stadium next door at the time of your stay, otherwise it could also get loud.

The service was solid. The location is fine not right downtown but I knew that when I booked, which was fine as I like to walk a lot. The room is large, very large and that was nice. The SMEG fridge was great as was the TV stand that swung between the living room and bedroom. I think room 413 could use an update. There are a few holes where new tech was installed or maybe where things were removed (see pics). The bathroom could use a touch up. The little den area needs a bigger rug to match the space. It's a good room but could be a great room with some touch ups here and there. The walk in shower is maybe too big. Never thought I'd say that before but it can fit like 6 people or more.

The worst "4-star" hotel I have ever seen. Small bathroom with shower that scalds whenever anyone flushes a toilet. No bidet, no wi-fi or coffee in room, tea and water not regularly replaced, minimal cleaning, no comfortable seating, etc., etc. A/C unregulated and unreliable. Breakfast was OK, but upcharge for omelet or OJ is not in keeping with a 4-star status.
