NH Bentota Ceysands Resort

We had an absolutely amazing and unforgettable stay at NH Bentota Ceysands Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality and breathtaking setting made me feel completely relaxed and welcomed. The location is stunning—nestled between the river and the ocean, offering beautiful views and a truly unique atmosphere. The boat transfer to the hotel added a special touch that made the arrival feel like the beginning of a tropical escape. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The food was excellent and delicious.The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We spent one night at this lovely hotel and had a truly memorable experience. What made the stay special right from the start was the entrance via a ferry, which added a unique and exciting touch to our arrival. The lunch buffet was the best part of the dining experience – with a good variety of options and every dish tasting delicious. While the overall food variety was moderate, the quality and flavour of the meals were consistently impressive. The staff service was excellent – warm, courteous, and very professional. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Traveling with our one-year-old baby, we were pleasantly surprised by the number of baby-friendly activities available. Our little one enjoyed every moment, which made the stay even more special for us as parents. The hotel truly caters to families. This hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, service, and natural beauty. Ideal for families, especially those with young children. We had only one night, but it was enough to make us want to come back for a longer stay.

The hotel has some definite positives, the rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Location is great, and beautiful. The ferry ride did stand out specifically. The staff is polite, helpful, and attentive, which adds to the overall experience. That said, there are a few letdowns. The buffet was quite limited in variety and the food quality didn’t really stand out, definitely not what you’d expect at this price point. The biggest issue was with the pricing of liquor and bar snacks, extremely overpriced for what you get. I’ve been to many other properties with much more reasonable pricing and far better portions. It felt like poor value for money in that area. Overall, a decent stay if you’re focused on the room and location, but food and F&B pricing could really use improvement.
