Great stay at NH Bratislava Gate One! The rooms were modern and spotless, with super comfortable beds. Friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast made the experience even better. The location was convenient for both the airport and the city center.
We often use the hotel for overnight stays. Never been disappointed by rooms. What is exceptional thou is the reception service. Should you not need to venture in the city centre and/or be arriving by car the hotel has ideal location due to proximity to the highway and the shopping centre across the road.
The receptionist next to me was very arrogant. She demanded a €150 deposit for the minibar, even though my stay was guaranteed by Booking. Of course, if I used the minibar, I would have to pay for it upon checkout. Of course, I refused. She then informed me that upon checkout, I would have to wait for the staff to check the room before letting me out. It was a disaster, and the Middle Ages! At the end, I was told not to come back to this hotel. OMG, what a terrible way to treat hotel guests. I do not recommend it, avoid it completely. The hotel standard is high, but the service is abysmal! In addition, the jacuzzi in the spa area, which is why I chose this hotel, was closed, which I was informed about only after check-in.
