NH City Centre Amsterdam

On our trip to the Netherlands and Belgium we decided to stay at the NH properties. This one was by far the best one. The location was perfect for exploring the city, being in close proximity to all the major sites. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The room we had, a standard twin, was a good enough size for a Euro hotel. It was nice and clean with a good sized bathroom. The only down side was that the air conditioning in the hotel was inoperative during our stay and it was a heat wave. They provided us with a fan so it gave us a bit of relief. The hotel breakfast was great with a large variety of food. Overall a pleasant stay and we highly recommend.

Everything was of a good standard. Reception was very nice (looking) and staff very helpful. Breakfast was diverse, incorporating usual continental breakfast plus local cheeses and breads. Location great - easy tram ride from central station or walkable (15/20 minutes) if you don't have luggage. A bit pricey by British standards but I found that to be true across Amsterdam - so not a reflection of this hotel necessarily.

Having just come back from a three day visit, we highly recommend this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful (with a special mention for Elena, who helped us out with our booking); the main areas were very spacious and well thought out and our room was, as requested, very quiet (it faced onto the internal courtyard). The location could not be better – just about everything is walkable and there are also numerous tram stops nearby.
