We stayed in a studio on the second level. The bathroom featured a stunning view of the bay and the aquarium, but it had no curtains, which made us feel exposed. The hotel is located in a great area, within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, and more. The service was excellent, and the breakfast selection was perfect.
Disappointing stay. Scaffolding up, undergoing some work. We booked an upgrade from the standard room to get a view on the nice Marina. When we entered the room we discovered that most of one of the sides of the hotel is currently under works… we were of course not notified at booking nor at checkin. They accepted to change our room to a similar room on a higher floor but we were still disturbed in the morning by the construction noise… not acceptable at this level of price and standard. As there is no communication about the works, not sure how long it will last. I would advise to choose the Bristol in the city center instead, great hotel.
I recently checked into my room where I had booked a king size bed. However, I was surprised to find that the “king size” bed is actually made of two single mattresses placed together, without a topper. This creates a large gap in the middle, making it very uncomfortable to sleep – essentially forcing me to choose one side or the other. This setup does not match what was paid for, and it significantly affects the comfort of the stay. After the reply I got from the hotel, I have to update my review and I give also 1 star to SERVICE. How is it possible that you have rooms with 1 mattress king size and you don’t give it straight to the guest ? Do I have to complain to reception, in order to get what I asked and paid for ? Is this the service you give to your guests ? Sometimes it is better to keep quiet or just say a basic sorry.
