NH Collection Köln Mediapark

The location is excellent - walking distance from the main attractions, yet quiet and relaxing. The lake right in front of the hotel adds peaceful scenic charm to the area😍 🦆🦢 Rooms were comfortable, breakfast with a great variety of options and attentive service. A special mention to John, he was professional, friendly and genuinely cared about our experience 👍🏻 highly recommend

Certainly not the cheapest hotel and a bit of a walk from most of the attractions, but that was the point - I don't need to stay right in the centre of town and pay a significant premium, but I don't want to stay in a hostel either. Perfectly pleasant room in a location with enough to do, but not too far from the centre of town either. Staff were very helpful. I didn't opt for the breakfast buffet - there are plenty of places to grab breakfast nearby but it looked fine.

Stayed for three nights. The hotel's location isn't ideal, but it's within a reasonable 20-minute walk to the city centre and train station. We booked a suite facing the lake, which offered lovely views, including a distant view of the Dom. Unfortunately, the experience was let down by poor service. On our first night, we discovered the TV in the bedroom didn't work—no TV channels, and streaming services were also unavailable. I reported this to the front desk and was told it would be fixed the next day. It wasn't. I followed up again and received the same response, but by the end of our stay, the issue was still unresolved. For the duration of our three-night stay, the TV remained unusable, and there was no real effort to make things right. Other than this issue, the shower head in the bath tub also shoots water out the wrong way (there is a separate shower luckily). This hotel might be fine-as long as nothing goes wrong. But if it does, don't expect much support. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
