Dear NH Essen Team, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to you and your entire staff for the outstanding way you took care of us during our recent stay. Although we initially faced an unexpected overbooking situation upon our arrival, you handled everything with great professionalism, patience, and respect. Your manager was exceptionally accommodating and proactive, and we are very grateful for how you worked to find a solution. The following day, you arranged two comfortable double rooms for us, which made all the difference. The kindness and consideration you showed to my family, especially after our long and exhausting journey with children, was truly appreciated. We felt genuinely welcomed and looked after, and that made the whole experience so much better. We have only positive things to say about your hotel, and we will gladly recommend NH Essen to other travelers. It is rare to encounter such a high level of service and care. I had a great stay at Hotel NH Essen — everything was just right! Even though we had two early morning fire alarm incidents during our stay, that honestly didn’t affect my overall impression. The hotel still deserves a full 5 stars. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, thanks to Mr. Obadah who made the process quick and easy. The gym was clean and well-equipped, and I really appreciated the free premium water available there — a small detail, but exactly the kind of thing I was looking for during my trip. Housekeeping was excellent, and the room was always spotless. They also have a small convenience corner at the reception with water, snacks, and grab-and-go coffee — which was super handy, especially late at night. The only issue I faced was trying to order food via room service — I tried calling and also using the app, but couldn’t get through. Would love to see that improved in the future. Still, this didn’t affect my overall experience. Highly recommended — and I’ll be uploading a short video too!

The hotel has potential, but its internal communication, organization, and attitude toward guests deserve 1 star. On my checkout day (Saturday, 7.06.2025), I was woken up twice by room service entering my room—first at 10:00, then again at 10:15. The hotel had clearly failed to inform staff that I had not yet checked out. When I raised the issue with the front desk (morning shift), I was told it was my fault for not hanging the “Do Not Disturb” sign. That’s unacceptable. Those signs are for stayover days, not a license for staff to disturb guests before checkout time due to poor internal coordination. At a 4-star hotel, I expect basic communication—knowing which rooms are still occupied should not be treated as if it’s rocket science. Instead of apologizing, the receptionist deflected blame (on me) and made excuses. That’s below standard. Do better.
