NH Gent Sint Pieters

We stayed there for 4 nights at the end of May 2019 and with a large group of 27. We had rented a conference room which was nicely set up and ready to go for our group. The hotel is very convenient to the train station (about a 5-10 minute walk) and is located in a nice quaint/quiet neighborhood. The hotel is also a short walk to some nice patio restaurants (near the train station) and small stores to stock up on some beverages/snacks. We found it very easy to catch a tram and or head to the main station to catch intercity trains. The bath tub was a bit slippery and you have to step up high to get into it, but all in all the room was nice. The hotel breakfast was very good. It has a great selection of items from meats and cheese to eggs, and pastry's and cereals, all nice and fresh. All the staff were great to us and in particular Jorge. He was fantastic to us and went out of his way to accommodate any requests and made sure we had a great experience. We would stay at this hotel again and would recommend it. Ray

Standard room. Perfectly fine as a cheap and cheerful no frills room for the night. Furniture and fittings had a fair bit of wear and tear but the room was spacious and it's a really convenient location thanks to its proximity to the station. The one downside is the bed: rather than a double it's two singles pushed together which is quite awkward if you want to cuddle up with your partner in the night!

I really do not like when hotels put a photo of a flagship room and pretend that other rooms are as good as this one on the photo. Sorry to say but this was very disappointing. The rooms aren't quiet - I heard everything outside my room. The corridors are old-fashioned, rooms are looking old as well. The bed was clean and comfortable. The front desk service was helpful and kind - this is where you get one star from me though.
