Really had a great stay. Staff was friendly and welcoming, the rooms looked nice and clean, aircon worked well and it was very quiet too. The location is ideal with ocean, public transport (bus, tram, train) and a supermarket close by. Great breakfast and nice facilities. Would book again 👍
Disappointing Stay — Wouldn’t Book Again I had high hopes for Nice Pam Hotel, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. First, the location isn’t ideal — it’s about a 30-minute walk to the beach, though it is conveniently about 10 minutes from the train station. That was one of the few pluses. The hotel hosted a privatized party on Friday, which wasn’t communicated in advance, making the restaurant area inaccessible and noisy. On top of that, the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays — only the bar remains open — so plan accordingly. The rooms had a persistent sewage smell, which I assume came from the water supply. It made the stay uncomfortable. Cleaning services were adequate, but the furniture in common areas (both indoors and out) was visibly dirty and didn’t feel welcoming at all. Another big issue: doors to rooms slam loudly due to a lack of any stopper or soft-close mechanism. Expect to hear banging doors morning and night, which really disrupted sleep. Also worth noting — the hotel is kid and pet-friendly, which may be a plus for some, but it contributed to a louder, more chaotic atmosphere that wasn’t what I was looking for. In hindsight, I found that hotels closer to the beach were actually cheaper with more amenities such as a pool. I regret not doing more research before booking. Would not recommend unless you’re specifically traveling with kids or pets and don’t mind being far from the coast.
I do not recommend Pam Hotel. Although rated as a 4-star hotel, its facilities are only at a 2.5-star level. The bed was uncomfortable, bedding quality was poor, and there was only one duvet that wasn’t fixed inside the cover — it kept bunching up. Only one extra pillow was properly sealed; the other was left exposed in a dusty cabinet. Curtains didn’t fully block light and the curtain rod was cut too short, causing it to fall frequently. There were exposed electrical wires on the ceiling, which is a safety concern with naughty kids. The bathroom had no bath towels, only small face towels. The floor was extremely slippery and stayed wet overnight. No body lotion was provided, and you had to request conditioner. There was no hair dryer, and even after asking twice at the front desk, they never delivered one. Also missing: an iron, a nightlight, and a functional toilet door (it was very difficult to slide and blocked the light switch). Despite these issues, I want to highlight that the staff were friendly and helpful — the problems lie in the management and the facility quality, not the service. This hotel does not meet 4-star standards in terms of comfort, amenities, or safety.
