The seafood was exceptional — incredibly fresh, flavourful, and clearly handled with care and expertise. We started with oysters that tasted like they had just been harvested, followed by grilled sea bass and a generous seafood platter that showcased a variety of local catches. Every dish was beautifully balanced, allowing the natural quality of the ingredients to shine. Service was equally impressive: attentive without being intrusive, and the staff were happy to offer thoughtful recommendations based on the day’s specials. Their knowledge of the menu and the local seafood made the experience feel even more curated and personal. What made the visit truly memorable was the combination of outstanding food, friendly service, and a setting that felt like a hidden gem. Did not stay at the hotel, this review is for the Restaurant. The food is good seafood fare. The service we experienced was excellent. Once we stepped onto the ocean deck, we are immediately greeted by our server, Cole. He was friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the meal. His service really highlighted the experience highly recommend.

They’re perfectly seasoned, crispy, fresh, and cooked in clean oil (you can tell — it makes a difference!). The rest of the food was just as impressive, and the service was outstanding — warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The atmosphere is authentic and unique, with a beautiful view of Tomales Bay, just a short drive from Point Reyes. This place feels like it should be part of a perfect weekend getaway — imagine: stay at a cozy hotel, go on a cheese-tasting tour, and end the day with a delicious meal at Nick’s Cove.
