Nicotera Beach Village

Great resort to have a vacation in it... private beach with not much people, clean water, everything was great.... But the one disadvantage was that the programs were only in Italian and the staff hardly knew any other language, but that's probably a problem in Italy everywhere... and also lot of loud disturbing kids everywhere 😅 but it's family hotel

First of all, before travelling to South of Italy you need to know, there are different services provided, you cannot compare North with South Italy. 5 star hotel is in reality 3 star in South Italy ( no offence ). But...we didnt have any problem with staff, room or food. It is true that not every staff member speaks english, but you need to understand that 80 % of guests are Italian :) therefore animation program is always in italian language, but you dont need to understand italian language during dancing, just feel the rythm :) Room was clean ( true that furniture is a bit old ), pool was clean, the pine forest between hotel and beach was pretty good place to take a nap ( italian pause after lunch :) , beach was clean, just dont put your towels in first row of sunbeds - should be reserved on reception, but you can take second row sunbeds without problems :) Food was good, but not so many options, think about you dont need to gain weight on holiday :) snacks between breakfast, lunch and dinner are usually some pizza pastry, but if you are hungry, you will eat it...you can fill your bottles with fresh water on bar next the pool, but need to use plastic glasses to fill them ( hygiene ) - no problem, its a good point. Non alcoholic and alcoholic drinks are served in plastic cups, but tasty ( i mean drinks not plastic cups :D ) Sometimes there can be small jellyfishes near shore, not dangerous, but if you touch them you can feel a little burn on your skin ( not so painful, our 10 years son was catching them with hands ) - its a sea nature so sometimes they will appear... Really its a quiet place, nearest town is few km far, but you can arrange trips to see islands around ( with active volcano ) - all day trip or rent a car and see nice towns like Nicotera or Capo Vaticano. So in the end dont compare everything with your previous stayings in Dubai hotels, just enjoy your holiday with friends or family, and you will realize that it is all you need :) We spent nice time in this place, thank you :)

Good for family's, nice rooms, good food. Place has potential not exploited, services are not good, poor travel info. Have 4 bikes only, no BBQ. Animation is not good, all day unstoppable trash music, group dance is poor. Surroundings are dirty, the near town of Nicotera do not offer attractions and is poor on services. Structure is high level, organisation is not.
