Excellent view, great breakfast, helpful staff, the breakfast team is wonderful and hardworking. Nicole is great 👍, she helped me get the booking directly, and she supported me along the way and provided advice for better options and better rates. The location is a few minutes away from the center.
We are two brits (29/28) who stayed here for 6 nights on a hiking trip. Overall we had a good stay and loved Zell am See. Pro’s: - Modern and clean hotel: the saunas in the room are great. Just what was needed after a long day hiking. Great view of lake from room too. - Great breakfast, plenty of choice. - Staff were very friendly and helpful (from the receptionists to the cleaners). - I also note that the hotel’s reviews have been massacred lately which I don’t think is fair - it seems like more of an attack than anything. Cons: - No air con (rooms got very very warm in the night and I’m pretty sure these apartments are built to insulate warmth for the ski season… not ideal for 32 degree days in summer) - we also couldn’t leave our balcony doors open overnight as we were on the ground floor and… - … sadly room 204 (aka room next door) were so loud. Every night on the balcony they were speaking SO loudly, their child was screaming and shouting and seemingly cannon balling into the bath tub (we could keep hearing really loud splashing at bath time) - not the peace and quiet my girlfriend really wanted at the end of a day’s hiking. I appreciate this isn’t really the hotel’s fault (and we didn’t raise it in fairness).
I do not recommend visiting them, even if the stay is 1 euro. They have no credibility in dealing with them. They did not refund the 300 euro deposit. Because of a broken red button, which is not correct. The receptionist's behavior was very poor. The room cleanliness was very poor. There are accommodation options nearby that offer better views, service, and cleanliness. A report will be filed with the Ministry of Tourism and hotel officials to prevent them from exploiting visitors.
