I don't know why someone gave one star to this hotel. The hotel is at good location, close to MTR subway and shopping mall. When I asked how to go to Grantham hospital, the people at the service desk helped me with a map and highlighted the location for me. Especially thanks to Helen who cleaned up the mess I left in the room and replaced every bath towels.
My 4-year-old and I spent one night in Nina Hotel as we planned to visit on the next day the Ocean Park, which is about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. This is my first time staying in this hotel. My experience here was fabulous. Staff members were nice and friendly. Hotel Manger Cathy was super helpful. The Aqua room that we spent the night in was very spacious with a balcony. Bed was large enough for a no-fight sleep of 2 adults and a child, although there was the only two of us. My little one was also stunned by things ready for her - some colouring pencils and snacks were sitting ready in the room before our arrival. She had a lovely bath time in the tub too. Together with my parents, the four of us took buffet dinner in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant surprised me with its quality. There were a great variety of food, and I love the idea that there were a good selection of local food like 車仔麵 and 豆腐花 etc. Overall food quality is good, fresh sashimi and good grade beef. If I am to point out one imperfection, it’s the desserts that I wouldn’t say they are outstanding, but what was offered were already of good value of money spent. The four of us definitely had an enjoyable dinner. To reveal the honest truth, my family previously made a stay here and was disappointed by the room quality. They posted a comment about this and was then immediately contacted by the hotel for detailed feedback. You could really tell Nina hotel valued customer’s opinion and took prompt action to improve. I really appreciate the way they value customers feedback and that’s why chose to stay with them. I am pleased they did not disappoint but surprised us this time. I would highly recommend for a night of staycation especially if you are planning to visit the Ocean Park in the day/ the next day.
The hardware at Nina Hotel has significant room for improvement. The room I was assigned was quite old and had an unpleasant smell, which compelled me to request a room change at 1:30 AM. The air conditioning unit was noisy, and the sensor light at the entrance flickered on and off throughout the night, which was quite bothersome. Additionally, the furniture was outdated. Housekeeping also left much to be desired. During my seven-night stay, I found that my room service tray was left in my room on one occasion, and on another, my dirty towels were not collected. Bath towels needs to be replaced, most of them are very old. On a positive note, the service aspect was satisfactory. Room is spacious, linen are new and clean. The hotel's location is decent for the Wong Chuk Hang area, but overall, I do not plan to return.
