We came for the view—stayed for the food and the beautiful people behind it. We enjoyed it so much, we came back again a second night in a row.

We had the privilege of spending what was undoubtedly the most beautiful time of our lives at Niriides Beach Hotel in Bali, Crete – and we would like to express our heartfelt thanks with this review. This hotel is far more than just a holiday accommodation – it is a place full of warmth, genuine hospitality, and authenticity that is rare to find these days. From the moment you arrive, it becomes clear that this is not an anonymous hotel with standardized mass tourism. Niriides Beach Hotel is family-run, and you can feel that in every detail. The owners put their heart and soul into everything they do and personally take care of their guests. The food deserves special praise. Every meal – whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner – is an absolute delight. The buffet dishes are freshly prepared, varied, and of high quality. Especially impressive is that many of the ingredients come from the hotel’s own garden – and you can truly taste the freshness! You won’t find the usual boring hotel meals here, but instead authentic, homemade Greek delicacies full of heart and soul. The selection of drinks included in the all-inclusive package is also very good. Everything one could wish for is available – from refreshing cold drinks to local specialties – and the staff always ensures that no one is left thirsty. A big compliment to the entire team: Every member of staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can clearly feel that the well-being of the guests is the top priority. Nothing feels forced or rehearsed – true hospitality is lived and breathed here. Every wish is noticed and fulfilled with a warm smile. We especially want to highlight the grandmother of the family – a true institution and inspiration! Despite her advanced age, she is there every single day, full of energy, helping wherever she can, and bringing a sense of warmth and groundedness that defines the entire hotel. Her daughter-in-law told us that she only sleeps five hours a night, dedicating herself wholeheartedly to the home and the guests. This woman deserves the utmost respect and recognition – she is truly the heart and soul of the house. For us, one thing is absolutely certain: If we return to Crete, we will only stay at Niriides Beach Hotel. No other place can match this level of warmth, quality, and authenticity. This hotel is a true hidden gem – one you almost don’t want to share for fear it will become too popular. But those lucky enough to experience a stay here will understand exactly what we mean. My friend and I called in to Bali in Crete because we liked the idea and we needed a lunch and swim stop between Heraklio and Prevali valley. The location was gorgeous and our host at the restaurant even more so. We ate the best salad we've had in Greece . She was so lovely and the salad so good that we called in again on our way through two weeks later. Highly recommend.
