+ Great staff, very very helpful. Calm and relaxed resort with nice pools and lovely views, the rooms are really comfortable Nice food & breakfast at their restaurant +/- There was makakes around the resort during our visit. They can be really interesting to observe however they want your food. Not like they are begging for it, more like they demand it. Don't challenge them. (it seems like they dont live at the hotel permanently but comes every now and then for a visit) It's crucial to have a motorbike if you wanna leave the resort - Our DVD-player at our second room didnt work. Yup, that's all.
I'm sure, and I do mean sure, that this is a great place during high season. Look, the place is lovely. The location is beautiful for sure and the rooms are certainly acceptable. Large enough, with a good sized balcony, TV, fridge etc. All good so far. Swimming pool is nice and the bar area looks nice enough. Okay, so the issue is, that the place heavily advertises it's restaurant, bar and other amenities. Unfortunately none of those are open during low season! This is not mentioned on their website or booking websites. This is completely unacceptable!! It's false advertising! The restaurant was still being mentioned in mid Sept as being open. I traveled as a family and the lack of restaurant is a huge issue for us. The resort is not close to other restaurants. It's down a 2km road that has nothing else around it. You absolutely must have transport of some kind if you're going here. If I knew the restaurant was closed, I simply wouldn't have stayed there. The TV was huge, but didn't have channels of any kind. Although it's advertised as having satellite TV. It doesn't. Breakfast consists of 3 choices - omelette, English breakfast with cumberland sausage (which were not cumberland but 7/11 sausages) or rice soup. Rice soup wasn't available for....reasons. Also, if you don't like dogs, don't stay here. There are loads of dogs all over the place. I don't mind this, I have two dogs myself, but not everybody is going to comfortable with dogs running around the resort. Again, the scenery is absolutely lovely but this can only go so far.You need to have the advertised amenities that you PAY FOR. If you don't have them, you've lied to your customer. It's not acceptable. Also, we were given 'fresh' towels that were completely torn! They had holes in. I'm not going to complain about the staff - they were fine. But my God, you can't operate this, not even if it's low season. If anything, your customers in low season are more important! They're the ones that are likely to live in and around Thailand and might want to come back. I won't be. Don't advertise things if you don't have them. Simple.
We stayed 1 of our 2 booked nights and that was enough. Check in was rushed and transactional and we didn't feel very welcome. Bed sheets hadn't been changed since the previous guests. Pillow cases had mould marks on. Room hadn't been cleaned properly and there were used fake eyelashes on the bedside table. Curtains mouldy with patches so bad they'd turned into large holes. The safe in the room was broken. The balcony outside our bungalow was closed off due to being unsafe. Unfortunately I could go on... Redeeming factor was the pool area and restaurant. Beautifully decorated and relaxing. Pad Thai was good but left the poached eggs at breakfast as the whites weren't cooked. Quite different to the vision portrayed in the ads. It seems as if this whole resort might have been really nice when first opened but it's currently in a neglected state. The low of our 2 week stay in Thailand and certainly not a 4 star hotel.
