Nishitetsu Hotel Croom Hakata Gion Kushida Shrine

Views are not great, but it is basically an apartment located close to the main public transit station and tons of places to drink. in room: washer/dryer, microwave, mini-fridge, kitchen sink, hot plate, electric kettle...in addition the the usual stuff. not huge, but still about twice the size of other places I've stayed in Japan. Housekeeping is every other day (fresh towels are provided outside door on the days without housekeeping) Their automated cafe could use some work. Machines have malfunctioned often (dispensing the wrong thing, or not accepting money). I'd recommend the nearest konbini as a more reliable option.

The best hotel that I have stayed in during my trip to Fukuoka! The highlights: - New and modern looking hotel - Kushida Station subway entrance in front of hotel (1 station ride to Hakata Station) and 13 min walk to Hakata Station - Modern and clean indoor and semi-outdoor public onsen. When you are done, there is even popsicle bars for you to indulge on - Spacious and modern one bedroom apartment style room. The amenities in the room were modern, clean and high tech which was amazing such as Chromecast-enable TV, microwave and washing machine/dryer - 3 min walk to Kushida Shrine - 3 min walk to Canal City Hakata - Friendly and attentive staff I highly recommend booking a room through the official website as it will be cheaper than third-party sites such as Expedia and I scored a deal where I got the one bedroom apartment style room at the same price of the double room with tatami area.

Great location and foreigner friendly. Most importantly, the staff and the services were great. They provides clear instructions on every amenities, such as how to operate washing machines, air-con etc Will book again if I visit Fukuoka another time!
