We stayed this past weekend! I was a bit nervous after reading the most current reviews but as we checked in there was someone in the office that was available for assistance if needed. Our room was on the bottom floor, very nice and clean. I had a question about luggage on the day of checkout and used the chat option in the Sonder app and received a response back. Amazing location. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location, but from the moment we walked in, there was a musty smell- got worse in the room. There were a few things to attempt to mask the smell in the room, but they didn't work. Mobile key didn't work and there's no staff on-site. Shower drips water all over the floor. Huge bug smashed on the wall of a very tiny room. Really great location, but not worth $300+/night.

I stayed at the Sonder Back Bay in Boston in June 2025. Despite the excellent location and vibrant neighbourhood my room and experience with the customer service team left me extremely disappointed. First, it should be noted that there are a number of rooms in the basement of the hotel, which was where mine was located. The unit I stayed in was below ground level with a small window at sidewalk level. Second, I found 10+ beds, which could certainly be bed bugs in carpet, drapes, wall, and bedding. After speaking with customer service I was not given any refund. Finally, I was overcharged ~ 1100 USD, twice, following the end of my stay. I have been very disappointed with the customer service I received, given the poor quality of the stay. I will not be staying at another Sonder location.
