Great small hotel walkable to much of central Southampton. Rooms are nicely appointed and of good size. Small breakfast daily. Air conditioned too which can be helpful in summer. Staff is very helpful. No lift, but staff was very willing to assist with luggage. Beautiful quiet street but close to polygon and short walk to Above Bar.
We loved this boutique hotel. There were quality finishes throughout. the hotel only has nine well appointed rooms in an area with an abundance of great bars and restaurants. The continental breakfast was just the start we needed to go exploring. The hotel maintains a 24/7 reception and the staff were very helpful.
If I could give 10 stars, I would! We are seasoned travellers and No.4 Carlton was the most beautiful boutique hotel we have stayed in. This historic house was recently renovated with marble, exquisite draperies and fine upholstery throughout. A very warm reception was given pre-visit via emails, and then upon arrival and throughout our stay. Continental breakfast delivered every morning and wine was chilling in the fridge every night. Beautiful reception room to relax in. Great location ! Walked to all attractions. Love, Love, Love. Thank you for our great stay.
