Noboribetsu Grand Hotel

I stayed in a suite with a private bath, so it may be different from others. It is super spacious, and the look and feel is a lot more modern compared to some other areas of the hotel that feels older. The room and amenities and snacks are excellent!! The photos on the website and booking site for the suite do not do it justice. The onsens are also large enough and did not feel too crowded for the men, although my partner says the ladies one got a bit too crowded at times. A good amount of free parking space available too. Overall, an excellent choice if you are visiting Noboribetsu.

The room we initially received was unfortunately filled with small insects - we just contacted the front desk and immediately we were upgraded and switched room. Really great service! As a foreigner it was difficult to communicate with the hotel staff as no one could speak English, which also is OK! But even with translator apps it was difficult. That's why the service will be 4 stars. The location seems to be really fine and even when hotels.com says that parking is not included in the hotels' facility it actually is - and even with a lot of space for parking.

Stayed here in a group of 4 in a traditional Japanese style room in late Spring. Hotel is a bit old but well maintained. Highlights are the buffet dinner and the onsen with different types of minerals as well as outdoor pools. One of them (alternates daily by gender) has a demon sauna (really hot when the steam comes on!) and a range of outdoor cold plunges.
