Nora Beach Resort and Spa

We had a phenomenal stay, despite a couple unexpected issues. However, we would enthusiastically stay here again. We were greeted by Nooknik, who was very helpful and thorough in our check in. She explained the beach is currently undergoing repairs after a storm. A seawall of some sort is being constructed. However, the pool area is very nice and you can still access the surrounding shoreline. Our room was bright, and comfortable. It was very clean and well maintained thanks to our housekeeper, Nong!! The drinks by the pool were well made, and the food menu at the pool was extensive. We enjoyed our food very much. We had a fantastic massage at the spa, which was compensation for the beach construction. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had. This is a beautiful property with great views and a caring, attentive staff. You are just outside the chaos of Chaweng, but within easy walking distance to some good restaurants and laundromats.

We had a really relaxing time at Nora Beach Hotel. The location is great – close to Chaweng, but still quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature and right by the sea. The hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. When we arrived, we were told that the beach was closed because of flooding, but the hotel gave us a room upgrade and offered other kind solutions right away. Also, a big thanks to the reception team for the late check-out on our departure day – that was a huge help since our flight was late in the evening. Dinner at the hotel was super tasty – we can definitely recommend eating there! And the free shuttle into town twice a day was a great extra. There are a few things that could be improved: – The shower had a curtain, which didn’t feel very clean – The pool loungers were partly broken and should be replaced – The menu signs at the pool bar were hard to read – At breakfast, the food didn’t really change, there were only juice concentrates and no plant-based milk options Even with these small issues, we had a wonderful time and felt very well taken care of. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing hotel near the city, this place is a great choice and we fully recommend it.

Rating this a 5 mostly for the vibe and the staff here. Like many other reviews yes this resort is slightly dated and the beach no longer there. But the thing I love most is that it’s not trying to be anything. Its authentic, peaceful and lots of fun. I definitely felt like stepping into a little oasis when returning from the bustling streets of Chaweng and the staff made our stay amazing. They go over and above to accomodate you and nothing seems like an inconvenience to the staff. Pros - peaceful and out of the business of Chaweng - staff and customer service is 10/10. You can literally call them and they’ll be there to help you at a drop of the hat. The security guard at the front was awesome and made sure traffic stopped for us to get out. - good vibe next to the pool - had an issue with our door and they fixed it within 30mins - band and live music was amazing! Cons - food was very average and I barely ate there. If they improved on this I would 100% be back. - neighbours upstairs were super noisy
