North Star Hotel

Nicly, sulieman and her colleagues were fantastic. They were very helpful and accomadating. Suliman went over and beyond to arrange trips, suggest places and address my moms concerns. Suliman needs to give a master class in guests relations. Ps: the breakfast was varied, tasty and the team was eager to help.

The hotel is listed as 4 stars on Booking. On site, it says 3. The staff is young, polite, and mostly professional. There was no hot water during the whole stay. Only lukewarm or cold. A technical intervention didn’t fix it. One of our rooms had a sewage smell. Cleaning was far from sufficient. Breakfast was included but not very generous. At checkout, our car was blocked by other clients’ cars due to small parking lot. The valet didn’t prepare it, despite being warned the day before about our early check-out. We waited 20 minutes. Luckily, the airport was close. Too bad. The staff was decent, and well located, but the hotel is poorly managed. There seems to be miscommunication between the staff members.

This hotel experience was really bad. These were the things that were surprisingly off: - bad lighting, a big white light in the middle of the bedroom to put you off at once. - Room and space is extremely small. If you stand at a place and move your hand around you'll either hit a lamp or a shelf or a door. - Bad service! The staff is inconsistent and disconnected. - There was no hairdryer in the bathroom. I requested the reception guy for it, also asked for an extra set of pillows. He sent neither. - I requested to have my room cleaned in front of me. Upon which it was said that we only clean the rooms when guests aren't there. (What?) - The walls are very thin. There is so much noise from outside and nothing prevents it. If there's a car going outside you hear it. Somebody plays music in the next room you hear the full song. - Breakfast is underwhelming. I asked if i can get a fried egg like i always do and they said we'll charge extra for that. (That was a first for me at any hotel breakfast lol) Only plus was the proximity with the airport. But its better to do more research and choose any other hotel.
