Norton House Hotel & Spa Edinburgh

Excellent alternative to an airport hotel with beautiful countryside surroundings. The spa was convenient and large (open to locals as well), and the restaurant was outstanding. Congrats for making our last night in Edinburgh a delightful experience.

We recently had our wedding at The Norton House Hotel and it was absolutely fantastic! I cannot recommend enough. We switched from another venue and we are so glad we did. Our wedding planner Kayleigh McAllister was amazing! So much attention to detail, always got in touch promptly and with such care and thoughtfulness. The day itself was seamless. The food was amazing. The venue beautiful. Bridal suite beyond anything I could have hoped for. Our operations manager David was great, and our guests had the best time. This is the venue for your wedding and I would be confident you would have the most amazing day as we did. 10/10 thank you so much we had the most magical day! Xx

A truly lovely stay at Norton House Hotel. From the moment I arrived, there was a great feel about the place — peaceful, well cared for, and clearly run by people who genuinely value their guests. My room was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed and a beautifully appointed bathroom that added a real touch of luxury. The whole hotel has an understated elegance, surrounded by immaculate grounds that are a pleasure to walk through. I enjoyed a late afternoon stroll through the woodlands, passed a beekeeper tending to a handful of hives, and wandered along the edge of the nearby railway — all within a stone’s throw of the hotel. Hard to believe you’re only a mile from Edinburgh Airport. Dinner on the terrace was a real highlight. I chose the battered East Coast haddock with triple-cooked chips, minted mushy peas, and homemade tartare sauce — and every bite was excellent. The fish was perfectly crisp, the peas vibrant and fresh, and the tartare sauce was clearly made in-house. Service was friendly and relaxed, which suited me perfectly. Norton House strikes a rare balance between countryside charm and professional polish. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back.
