Novotel Arica

Wonderful surprise in Arica, where we ended up staying 4 nights before and after visiting the Putre area. Hotel seemed very new and was in great shape. We stayed in the executive room which was very spacious and directly facing the beach, which was the nicest in Arica. A short walk away were cafes right on the beach. Location is a bit away from the city center, but it is walkable Bed was huge and bedding was great. Bathroom was great with large shower and 2 sinks. Front desk staff was great, always helpful and attentive. Breakfast was great and dinner had some nice options. Staff could be a bit more polished, but no major issues. Pool area is very pleasant. The only downside is the potential for noise. One of our nights was a holiday eve and there was noise from both a corporate event at the hotel and from a dance party on the beach which went all night. The other nights were very peaceful. Highly recommended to rest and eat more diverse food options after being in the altiplano.

We stayed for four nights at Novotel, and it was amazing. The rooms are spacious (even standard rooms) and have a nice view of the ocean. The breakfast is a buffet with plenty of options. Also the food at the restaurant was very good. Pool was cleaned every morning. It’s a short 5min taxi drive to the city center. We would always come back.

Good location to relax and enjoy some days off. Breakfast is good, but with some variations from day to day, what are unpredictable. Some day there is great cake, someday other stuff, maybe leftovers from the day before?? It is nice to have that, but i miss it when it’s not there. Keep it up on a every day basis. Great pool! Needs just a bit maintenance. The beach is unfortunately Dirty and very unpleasant. Maybe the city’s job needs private enterprise help? Without a car you need to walk to the mall and city Centre or take a uber.
