Novotel Athenes

We had a great stay here. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, modern, with a great rooftop restaurant and pool with great views of the Acropolis, especially when lit up at night. The buffet breakfast is good value with a great selection to choose from, although I found the hot food cold, I still ate it as I'm not fussy but the wife didn't. The room service food was awesome and big portions. The fridge in our room stopped working and they fixed it straight away 👍. The surrounding area was a bit rough compared to what I would normally book but it was convenient for the metro lines (10-minute walk). There's a nice Cafe next door if you fancy a change for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and also a good freshly made pizza takeaway shop across the road. I would recommend this hotel 🏨 if you don't mind the surrounding area. Although I found the whole of Athens apart from the obvious tourist attractions to be rough with run-down buildings and graffiti everywhere.

From the moment you walk into the lobby, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a sleek, professional atmosphere that sets the tone for a relaxing visit. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was absolutely fantastic – a wide variety of options to cater to every taste, including fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and even some local Greek specialties. The quality and freshness of the food were top-notch, and the attentive staff made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. I found everything I needed – from a cozy bed to a clean, spacious bathroom and all the necessary amenities. The rooftop pool and bar area were also a lovely touch, offering beautiful views of the city and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after a day of exploring. The only minor downside was the location. While the hotel is not far from the main central areas, it is a bit of a walk or a short taxi ride away from the main attractions like Plaka, Monastiraki, and the Acropolis. However, if you're okay with a little commute, the overall experience at Novotel Athens more than makes up for it. Highly recommended for families, couples, or business travelers looking for comfort and quality.

Hotel is really tired. Carpets should be changed immediately. Furniture and decor as well. Location is a bit remote, but in a calm neighbourhood.. Very nice breakfast, great food at the pool bar. Staff is very kind and helpful.
