Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort

Brilliant service from Novotel staff (special thanks to Diana for taking care of us). The rooms are neat, clean and beautiful, beds are firm and comfy. Indoor and outdoor dining facilities. The swim up bar is a nice touch. Great location, walking distance to attractions. We didn't want to leave.

Wonderful room size. Comfortable beds eith assortment of pillow type. Food was great from either buffet breakfasts or restaurants for lunch and dinner. The grounds are becoming dated and the pool lounge chairs were very uncomfortable and for a resort where people want to swim and lay in the sun, the space and volume of lounges is very limited unfortunately. Whilst the buffet breakfast food was delicious, the space to get your food is oddly shaped and in peak times a little chaotic. Overall, a good stay with great location to the popular tourist areas.

Location is really good. We chose this hotel primarily for the swim up bar but pool is not heated and cold. Sun beds by the pool are uncomfortable and with limited availability, definitely not enough for the amount of people staying and others visiting from outside the hotel. Bedroom was clean and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was tiny and the shower was not good. Tiny balcony with seating for one. Customer service was poor, regular waits to pick up and drop off pool towels at reception. Had to wait 45 mins to check in as room was not ready at 2pm. No explanation, no apology. Overall not worth the money.
