We had a lovely time. The hotel is new, facilities are nice, the food was good, Gina, Tiago and the team were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is right next to the station which is very convenient. Also the soundproofing is great so the noise is not an issue at all.
I have stayed in more expensive hotels that were nowhere near as comfy as Novotel. Convenient location right next to the station, and not far from the river for a lovely walk. Breakfast was tasty, specially the hash browns. The staff is professional and helpful. Gym is small, but has all the basics you need to keep active, and the swimming pool was pleasant too. The sauna wasn't working, but that was minor. The bedroom was stylish and comforting, decked with a fridge, TV, range of lighting options and rain shower. The bed/pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped with having the best sleep I've had in ages. Just the bathroom door made me raise eyebrows, it doesn't really close but rather just shields the toilet from the shower area. In the end it wasn't an issue because I came alone, but it would have been awkward if I'd had a guest! 🤨
Had a pleasant stay here! The pool was lovely and well looked after, although could’ve done with being a couple degrees warmer in my opinion, especially in the jacuzzi bit. When we arrived our room wasn’t quite ready so we sat in the bar area for about 15 minutes, our room was then upgraded to the executive suite because of this which we thought was a very kind gesture. The rooms are nicely lit with sound proof walls (great as hotel is right next to the train station) and included espresso machine, a mini fridge, and robes/ slippers. Bed was pretty comfy! I would say that I wasn’t a huge fan of the glass bathroom door as it isn’t completely opaque. Although the rainfall shower was an enjoyable addition. The whole hotel is very open and modern looking, the bar area was okay however didn’t have a large alcohol selection. The only larger on tap was Stella, and no cider other than Magners. Also limited spirits, which was disappointing. On the flip side- the food was pretty tasty albeit slightly more expensive than I would’ve hoped for. Overall I would return to this hotel as I don’t have much to fault and I enjoyed my experience.
